LOCAL ORDINANCES
Local Ordinances help provide maximum enjoyment and protection for Anna Maria Island’s guests, residents, and wildlife. Be aware that if a complaint is received, the City of Bradenton Beach Police must respond The police may issue citations, fees, and/or notice to immediately vacate the property. Owner has no authority in these matters and intends to fully cooperate with the law.
Noise Ordinance, Quiet Use, and Enjoyment: We are located in a quiet, residential area. From 10pm – 7am the standard for noise is at or below 55 decibels — about the level of indoor normal conversation. To report a noise complaint — DO NOT CALL 911 — call the City of Bradenton Beach Police at 941-778-6311.
Parking. ALL VEHICLES MUST PARK IN UNIT B DRIVEWAY AND/OR GARAGE. There is a total of four (4) parking spaces. Two (2) in garage and two (2) on Unit B driveway. Guest will not: (a) park in Unit A driveway, on the grass or in the street, (b) impede or prevent access to any entrance or exit, (c) repair and/or wash vehicles, and (d) race engine(s). Passenger cars, trucks, and golf carts are allowed. LARGER VEHICLES, FOR EXAMPLE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO BOATS, TRAILERS, JET SKIS, AND RV’S, ARE NOT ALLOWED, AND WILL BE TOWED.
Maximum Occupancy. Maximum number of individuals that may occupy the Vacation Rental is eight (8). Maximum occupancy is set by the City of Bradenton Beach; Owner has no authority to adjust. For clarification, this number applies to all overnight guests, children, and infants. No house parties. No large group gatherings. Occupancy over the indicated capacity and conduct of unauthorized parties or gatherings may result in your removal from the Vacation Rental without refund; Owner may contact local law enforcement when appropriate.
Sea Turtle Protection. Sea turtles and their nests are protected under the Federal Endangered Species Act of 1973, Florida Statues §161.163, and Bradenton Beach Code of Ordinances Chapter 10, Article II. Sea turtle nests will be easy to avoid, as they are roped off. During sea turtle nesting season, May 1 – October 31, Guests will not: (a) use any type of lighting, flashlights, lanterns or camera flash on the beach at night (between sunset and sunrise) and/or, (b) touch a sea turtle. When leaving the beach, Owner requests that you remove obstacles which can block hatchlings from reaching the water, meaning cover holes in the sand you dig, level sandcastles you create, and remove your debris.
NO Dogs on Beach. In order to protect turtle nests and populations, Anna Maria Island has a strictly enforced “NO dogs on the beach” ordinance.
